Just stay consistent and follow through with what you need to do when he needs consequences of action..Don't forget to try to have fun with him also

When do they not know everything?  After all how many times have you heard "I don't need Google, I have a teenager"

It's kinda hard to comment when you don't give any context or examples, but...

Be honest and consistant.  Say what you mean and mean what you say.

Then, let him show you that he knows what to do when: his cloths don't get washed by the laundry fairy, you make liver and onions or brocolli casserole, you don't take him where he wants to go, etc.

They see all, know all, and everyone else are full of it. Lol

It's just the way it is. I had my hills, those were not negotiable, but everything else got the 'whatever' attitude. Sometimes they just have to learn the hard way.

Just wait..... he will outgrow it, lol.      My advice is to keep a journal of his great ideas and solutions and his view on some topics.    It will be fun to share with him when he is grown and his brain has shrunk back to size.      I wish I had done that!
