We go to the Circle of Lights celebration downtown the Friday after Thanksgiving. We've only missed 1 yr, and that was when dd was about 1 y/o and all 3 kids had really bad colds; I decided the weather was too cold for them to be out after dark in it, so we watched it on tv. That is the only time I have missed it since 1988.

You must live in Indianapolis. I was born and raised there. Used to work for the phone company and see the tree lighting from the building while we were working. Day after Thanksgiving was holiday pay for us too.
