Do your kids need work permits? I just called about one for my DD and they told me she will need a doctor to sign off on one. They make us jump through hoops for just a few hours a week.

Yes. My daughter just got a form from one of the counselors and when she finds a job the employer has to fill it out and she brings it back to the school for them to finish completing and issue her the permit. Never heard of having to go to the doctor to get a work permit, very strange.

Nope work permits are needed in Ontario. Teens want a job the apply and if hired go to work. What do these permits entail ? and why would the highschool have anything to do with the teens working.
