What do you look forward to during the holiday season?

Is it the gifts? The coming together of family and friends? The general feeling of happiness? The food? The music? The TV programming?

What do you look forward to?

Alas, only 2 of my 4 kids can make it home.  But the time off, my husband being home, the cooking (I don't do much anymore with the kids all gone).  The decorations.  Spending time with the kids.

I live in New York and my boyfriend is from Australia.  After nine long months of being apart he's headed here for a month for the Holidays.  I cannot wait.  I'm so happy!  So aside from the usual excitement I have around the Holidays this just completes the picture for me. :)

I look forward to the day when this season is all over...lol...no, in all seriousness I am grateful that I can celebrate another holiday with friends and family. :)

Spending time with family. It sucks. FIL died last year a week before Christmas. SIL passed away last night. Tainted the holidays forever now.

I look forward to it being over.  I am not a holiday fan.

I am so sorry for your loss. Is this the SIL that had cancer? Prayers and hugs to your family.
