Is it possible to care to much

Posted by   + Show Post
Tonight my 16 year old son got really mad at me and told me that I worry about him too much. He said you worry about my feelings too much you worry if I'm happy or not. Is that possible? For a parent to care about their child's feelings too much?

Agree.

It is more about your actions than your feelings.

Feel any way you want but don't react on every feeling. Sometimes they NEED to fail and they NEED to hurt.... That is how they learn and grow.

Quoting atlmom2: Helicopter parenting, yes. You can care, but not hover and meddle. Kids have to make mistakes and find their own way to become healthy adults who function well in society.

Helicopter parenting is not about caring, but control.
