My Mom got a degree at 59 years old.  Dh has a degree.  My brother has an associate and bachelors.  I went to medical assisting school.  One dd is at college and other graduating from massage therapy school.  MIL and FIL both had degrees, engineer and nurse.

3rd.

hubs has doctorate, his mother a bachelors, my mother a bachelors, my father 2 masters.... none of mine nor hub's grandparents had college degrees, but my grandmother did go to a secretarial school and graduated that about 1928.. if you are willing to count that as higher education for the day and age.

I'm not sure what generation my kids will be when they go to college. Most of dh's siblings have college degrees, either associates or Bachelors (I think all do, but not sure about 2 of the 6 of them). Dh has an associates, I have a B.A, my sister has a B.S, my parents both have a Bachelors, my aunt and uncle on my mom's side both do (not sure about dad's side), and both grandmothers were teachers, so I'm assuming a college degree for them, too. Not sure about my grandfathers.
