our Society constantly drills us with the phrase "Be your self!" but when kids and Adults choose to persue thier innerc persona we Often scrutinize them for thier differences. i'm going to give you a list of traits that your child could adopt or have, and you Respond with what you would do or if you would accept your child in any or all of the  circumstances:

Your child turns out to be:

Emo, Goth, Anarchist, Laveyan Satanist, Endorser of the Healing properties of Lsd and other psychadelic drugs, Charles Manson sympathizer, in an incestuous relationship with his twin brother, sociopath, vampire obssesionist, Hippie, naturalist, Drag queen, Communist.

Well that's a very peculiar list of things to group together.

I was thinking the same thing.  Luckily mine are none of the above.

I skate in pretty close with none of the above, but my DS17 did go through an 'emo' phse for about a year when he was 13-14.

1 mom liked this

Only if being "his own self" was in violation of the law. Otherwise, no.

I have never even heard or considered some of these.  and YES I would "fix" my child if he/she chose something immoral or illegal.

Hippie (without the drugs) would be okay. Naturalist, too (unless that meant walking around naked all the time!), I guess. I'm not sure what a naturalist is. Maybe goth, but I'd be kind of sad, because my daughter was the all American, girl next door, type (but she wasn't mean like we found some, not all, cheerleaders were).
