Would love to hear practices, small actions mothers take when they feel discouraged by teens. How do you keep from "getting hooked" and stay peaceful when sometimes your beloved child 's actions give you sadness and worry. How do you stay positive and focus on the good things they do.

I don't get sad about anything my son does. I am a "take-action" person when something has me concerned; I find out why something happened and work with him to determine what can be done to prevent a repeat.

For me, the key to peace and being positive is to DO.  Whatever is needed.

If mine did things I didn't like I called them out.  If they did good things they got praise.  Have to say I am glad I am though with the teen years.  Mine were really good girls as a whole though.
