I have a teenager getting ready to graduate and getting ready for college. My youngest. I think I'm going to have the empty nest syndrome very bad!!!
My youngest is graduating May 23rd from high school. We have visited 2 colleges and she just doesn't know what she wants to do. If she hasn't come up with a plan by July she'll go to the local tech college in the fall for 18 months either for business or computer tech. She'll live at home the college is only 5 miles away.

It's a weird time isn't it? I was so proud of all my dd accomplishments and yet not quite ready to let her go. We insisted that she live on campus her freshman year thinking it would help her to get involved more (which it did) and yet I had such anxiety over her not being home. I missed her terribly - I even missed the fact that she is a total slob! My baby boy is graduating next year and I am already beginning to feel melancholy. While I am so excited he will be graduating and going to college (living on campus too) - I already know I will miss him terribly.
How was the empty nest? Advice for us? How is he/she doing in college?
