Since there are so many of us in the big July '09 group, I'm guessing we don't know a whole lot about each other. Here's your chance to get to know everyone!
Hi, I'm Daisy. :) and I'm a married mother of 3...a 9.5 year old girl, a 6 year old boy and a 2 year old boy. I'm pregnant with my fourth baby but this will be my first out of hospital birth.
I started learning about natural birthing after my 3rd was born and i thought i wouldn't have any more babies but Surprise!!! so i'm super excited to have the opportunity to give birth in a more natural environment. I'll be having my baby with a midwife at a free-standing birth center. I was thinking about a homebirth but i am about 30 minutes to a hospital in the rare event that something would go wrong i'd like to be a little closer than that. Plus my hubby is not fully comfortable being out of the hospital at all...so the birth center is a good compromise. :)
Hey ladies, I am 24yrs old, married live in las vegas. I am currently expecting my 1st child. We are having a home birth, My husband wasnt very keen on the idea, but here its either a homebirth or a hospital birth. So he caved to a home birth. I wish i could have a birth center birth but its not a opition.I am excited about having a baby.. Oh yeah we are having a little girl as well.. and my EDD is july 17th so basiclly anytime in july...

Hi all, my name is Elizebeth but I've used the screen name Skyllafae for like 10 years so a lot of people just call me Sky. I have 3 kids, a 9 year old step-daughter, a 3 year old daughter and a 1 year old son. My birth experiences have been less than desirable in the past which is why I decided to birth out of a hospital this time. With my first I was uneducated and allowed the doctor to induce me which was just the first of a snowball of interventions that led to a c-section. With my son I intended to vbac and even though I had gone into premature labor with him and he had flipped breech the doc was still going to let me try until his heartrate dropped (which I still wonder if it really did or if they just didnt want to deliver a breech baby) which of course led to a repeat c-section. This time around I AM going to VBA2C hehe. I was planning on having to homebirth in a hotel near the hospital since I live so far away but I finally got a midwife at a freestanding birth center to accept me as a patient so I'm going to have my all natural birth there and probably in the tub as well!! I'm very excited about it and can't wait to experience a real birth. Oh, and I'm officially due July 25th but I'm figuring on mid-July.
