well, it all started when i was denied for medicaid due to some stupid paperwork issues and my husband being self employed. i was really upset and was thinking how am i going to do this? a friend of mine said that everything happens for a reason but i was having a hard time finding the reason for this..till i remembered an e-mail that i had gotten way back when regarding the cost of a home birth. at that time my husband was not really ok with the idea.
after re-reading that e-mail and realizing that everything was going to be out of pocket anyway at this point i brought it up to my husband again (after having bombarded him with oogles of information over the past few months) and he said ok> so< i have chosen a midwife and have made an appointment with her for this sunday.
i am super excited that i"m going to get to birth at home but now i kinda feel like i"m starting all over in my process. i suppose it"s not a big deal since i"ve only seen the midwifew at the birth center once and got my blood work done at the health department...i've basically had no prenatal care at all so starting over really isn"t that big of a deal.

Hooray! I'm loving having a homebirth to plan 'cause it gives me lots to do in the next few weeks - it really kind of makes the time fly! Good luck!!
