the more i think about it the more i am sure im thinking i dont want to bf this baby i did dd for a little while but not long. i may do it for a wk or so but i know for sure its not something long term..i know some people are thinking im a bad mom..oh well i love them to
I don't think you are a bad mom at all. I think whether to bottle feed or breast feed is a personal choice. Both are healthy options. I don't know why there are so many strong opinions out there sometimes. You have to do what works for you.

thx u i totally feel the same way
I didnt BF either of my first 2 and they are 9 & 10 now...perfect and healthy. Great immune systems, didnt get sick any more than a BF baby. Both are at a healthy weight. It's a personal choice and i dont understand why people get so judgemental about it either. There isnt any medical reason why I choose not to BF It just a personal choice for me.

yep that is true. people just like to put their 2 cents in thats why sometimes its best not to say anything or u will get a whole sermon on this and that
I wanted to add that I did breastfeed my first, but my second (baby now) really struggled with breastfeeding so after about 3 weeks we decided to feed her formula full time. It was a difficult decision, but she is doing well with it and I have to realize I am still taking care of her needs, despite what others may say. I think the important part is that I am feeding her, holding her, changing her, etc-- that I am taking care of her. That's what being a good parent is.
That's me so far. I BF my first DS for 8 months... DS #2 did not want to BF... wouldn't latch and all. So far I've been pumping and BFing for 4 weeks now..... BUT I don't see me doing that for a long period of time. As said it's a personal choice. Formula these days is almost identical to breast milk. I see no problem at all with either. I don't understand people's personal vendettas against formula feeding! LOL Do what works for you!!!!!!!! Just make sure baby gets nutrition is all that matters....... on a side note..... I had a friend that couldn't afford formula (or so she said.. don't get me started) so she fed her 5 month old.... on.... cow's milk,..... now THAT I have a problem with.

I hate to say this but - cows milk isn't going to hurt the 5 month old. My so and his sister were both given whole milk - he couldn't digest any formula so they put him on whole milk by the ago of 1 month and never even tried with his siste they are both older now and are fine and that was almost 28 years ago. I pesonally wouldn't give my child cow's milk but it honestly doesn't hurt them

There is NOTHING wrong with nor BF - I tried it and that's all I will say! She got it for 1 week and seems to be a happier baby now that she is getting formula!
I am currently breastfeeding my 3 week old daughter. and It is tough!! I don't think it is something I will ever do again and sometimes I really do just want to quit. But I keep telling myself that we have made it this far so I should really just keep going, but man...I wish someone would have told me how hard and challenging breastfeeding can be.
I say good for you for doing what YOU choose to do and not be held down by societies standards.
