Toddler Help!!!

My son just turned 2 and is pushing me to limits I didn't know I had!!  I am a SAHM, so I'm with him 24/7.  Babysitters seem to be very difficult to find and we don't have family around...his father is a workaholic, but that's how I'm able to be home.  I'm pregnant with our second baby, due December.  He has always been very attached to me, but lately (within the last week) he's been more attached then ever.  Yesterday I tried to let the dog out and he started crying "mommy" walking thru the house looking for me, bathroom breaks are the same way.  He's never done that before!!  Usually if he's entertained I can get a couple things done, but the last couple of days he HAS to be able to see me.  I've tried to think if something has changed or something happened, but our days are soo routine that I can't think of anything...we're always together at home.  Plus I've noticed that he's become very restless when he sleeps these last couple of days.  Usually around 6 am he'll start to cry/whine on and off for about 5 mins then he's back to sleep.  I don't know if he's doing it in his sleep or if he's waking up and doing it.  I don't go in to find out because I know by the sound that he's going to calm himself.  Could this be a teething thing?  He's always biting on his blanket or has his hands in his mouth.....but would that cause the Mommy attachment?  I need any advice anybody has because I'm out of ideas!

My second question is....what activities do you do with 2 year old?  I've tried to think but my pregnant brain is not helping me here!!  I'm going to maybe look for books to give me ideas because I think that maybe if we started doing something different that may help us too.  Right now everything I've found is go there or go here but unfortunately we cannot go much right now so we're limited to what we can do in the house.

Thanks for all your help!!

He could sense the baby's impending arrival.  Have you had a baby shower recently, or have you been working on the nursery and buying things for the baby?  It could also be teething--he could be getting his 2 year molars, and I know when my kids don't feel good, they both get extra clingy.

My 2 y.o. does Little Gym, and we also have MOPS playdates.  She attends preschool 2 mornings a week.  She loves to color, so she'll sit down with me and we'll color a page together.  We'll go to the mall sometimes or Chic-Fil-A to burn some energy off.
