Does anyone have any tips to help save money on groceries? I do my best to match up coupons to sales adds, but I just cannot get the hang of it and get frustrated and say the heck with it. I see that some have shopped at Aldi's but I never have. Are their groceries really that much cheaper? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!
I Do! I do!!!
I really really like my Aldi ! Store is very clean. Produce and meat always looks fantastic!
My savings start with diapers. They are $4.99 a pack! That is a savings of 50% for me. I really searched and searched for a sale this week...because I am broke and needed 2 packs....I could not figure out a deal for less then that $4.99 a pack.

Snack things are way cheaper then at the store..
Fig newton like cookies are $1. Sharks (goldfish) crackers are $1.25 Chips are $1.49 Cheese curls, cheetos and fritos are $1.
Canned Veggies are .59 (my dad warns me constantly to stock up on canned goods. As the drought is gonna drive those prices through the roof!)
Soups are .59
Frozen foods are a little cheaper....Like waffles are $1.49, at grocery store $2 on a good sale.
Fresh fruit prices are usually way lower then the grocery store. Grapes were $2.99 for two lb box. And they were delicious! Pine apples .99 etc.....
It is like a giant store of "store Brand" stuff. It is hit and miss. It depends on your personal taste.
I say it is worth a go. Take a look around. Buy some things. Taste them and then see what you think. Write down things you always buy and see how the price compares to the ones you normally buy. And if it is a substantial diff and you like the taste....the savings can really add up.
A stockup run to the store usually costs me $75-$100
At aldi I pay $30-$50 depending on what I buy.

Ive never shopped at one but there are three within hour of me. Is it compared to any other store?
