I've decided to not go to my 6-week postpartum, and I won't be taking my son for all of his well-child (I will take him again in Aug or Sept, cuz inguinal hernias are hereditary and we loose our insurance in Oct.) but what is the big thing about annual Pap Smears?? I know you can't get a birthcontrol refill without one, but we plan on using NFP now, so I won't need that. and I know they do a cervical mucous lab test for cervical cancer, but are these necessary? and are they necessary EVERY year?? I googled it and found a couple different forums talking about how they dont' need done more than every 2-5 years if you've never had an abnormal and are healthy. but I haven't found any research pages also saying that. any body out there know about this??
Trying to do everything all naturally - from cleaning, to healthcare! God gave us everything we need. I don't like the idea of using Man-made chemicals or medications!
