God willing,  I'm going to try water birthing baby #4 .   If all sails nicely,  hubby and I would like to try it unassisted.

I love water births....

Let see...I usually buy a kiddy pool at wal-mart for $15.  The walls are hard.

What I dont like is that I have a tendency to wait too long to fill it :)  Aside from that no dislikes.

I can't think of anything else but I'll answer any questions you may have so ask away.

Is there a temp. you want to get the water to    (a) so it's comfortable  (b) so it won't be too warm for the baby      ??

This is the easiest way to share my birth story.  Its long but I would love it if you read it.  I loved my first birth beyond anything I've ever done in my life!  It was awesome!  I have a few more "hands-off" changes that I will be making for this baby but other than that, I wouldn't change anything for the world.  And...There wasn't ANYTHING that could have gotten me out of that pool once I was in!  It was the most wonderful pain management for me!

The one thing I will suggest is to make sure that you buy one that is deep enough to cover your whole belly.  The buoyant sensation is so helpful and comfortable.

One thing NOT to do:

Don't decide you want to get in the shower to have hot water run on your back (I wasn't entirely sure I was in labor at this point) before you decide to get in the tub....

I used up all the hot water...

So my husband was filling up coffee and tea pots of hot water to pour in and help warm it up!!!

But I loved water birth and would do it again for sure!!!
