It's
a shame that 90% of unborn children diagnosed with Down Syndrome are
aborted. Of those 90% diagnosed I wonder how many really had DS as there
have been many misdiagnoses, children whose parents were told they
tested positive yet were born without it.
We are made in the
image of God, therefore life is precious. Every one has some sort of
physical defect at some point in their lives. Should we start looking
for cancer genes in people so that we can abort the baby who will
develop breast cancer when she is 35? I mean what kind of quality of
life is that? How about the man who will suffer a heart attack in his
50s? What about the guy who develops MS or the woman with Alzheimers?
Should we try to test for those possibilities so those people can be
aborted?
Life isn't perfect people. We live in a fallen world
full of disease and sickness but that doesn't mean we can't experience
love and joy and happiness. All human life is precious or none is. We
are the same person from fertilization until the day we die. Each life
touches other lives. Abortion kills a human. Choose life.
