Any recommendations, or "stay away from" advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, I have never been to any of the hospitals in the area. And advice on those?
Not things I want to find out by trial and error! ;)
Thank you Thank you!
I'd stay away from pretty much any OB in murrieta/temecula, and avoid Rancho Springs and Inland Valley- they are actually both on the verge of being shut down from malpractice lawsuits. The new hospital Loma Linda Murrieta is pretty good i've heard. The doctor I've heard good things about is Dr. Capp in encinitas, but basically anyone who loved their OB or midwife either had them in OC, San Diego or LA. and the women who had their OB's in murrieta or temecula hated their DR and birth. Including myself.
I LOVE Dr. Safie. The whole group she is with are fantastic. I saw each of these doctors while pregnant with both my children and after for basic care and they are great. They are with Trinity Women's Health in Murrieta.

That's what I was afraid of, and what I have heard from the few people I know. I had my last baby in Encinitas, but barely got to the hospital in time he came so fast! So I was hoping to keep it closer to home this time :(. I will check out Loma Linda. Heard anything about Las Brisas OB?
Thank you so much!!
Dr. Chiodi actually was my OB. About the only positive thing I can say is that you didn't have to wait long for an appointment and my Csection scar is nice looking. But she would scoff or laugh when I'd ask questions (I was pregnant with my first, I had BUTTloads of questions). She also prescribed me full stregnth birth control while I was breastfeeding, and even when I asked her she wouldn't tell me the side effects and how it might affect my son, I had to rely on my pharmacist for the truth.

I love Dr. Elfelt - he was my doctor years ago but my niece has him now. You can check to see which hospitals he is affiliated with.
When I moved in the area I talked to nurses to find out who they used also.
Best Wishes!
Debbie

Thank you! I will check. Also, that is a great idea. The nurses always have the best info. Thanks again!
I go to Dr. Safie at Trinity Women's Health in Murrieta. I have also seen the other 2 doctors at this practice, and they are all very nice. The rest of the staff is great too. I am currently pregnant with my second child, and will be delivering at Loma Linda Murrieta. It is a brand new hospital, and the staff that I have encountered thus far have been very helpful. Good luck on your search!
