Most home made mommys say they use tulle for their tutu's, but to me it looks more like organza. Is it just the pictures or do most of you use organza. I made a tulle tutu yesterday and I like how it sits more that the organza one I made.

(I am a little big for it, but you get the idea)

I put it in a diaper cake. If I sell the cake I would make an infant size instead...but how cute :)

I made my daughter one for Halloween (which it was too cold to wear) &  I made it out of tulle.

I use tulle. You need a few more layers of tulle to get it thicker but I always like the way it sits. The diaper cake with the tutu is adorable. :)

I use tulle for my tutus.  I use a double layer though (two strips instead of one).  This makes them really bushy and full.  I think the sparkly nature of the tutus you've seen is just the camera and photoshop at work.
