So I usually make AIO or just plain fitteds from my scraps. I made one out of my ooga fabric. I used OBV inner, absorbing layers (2 zorb, 2 (or 4, can't remember)OBF), then my outer is OBV with the knit print over top. The thing takes forever to dry! Would it still work okay to not do the OBV on the outer? This time I know for sure that my insert is 2 zorb and 2 OBF. I guess I am worried that with the knit print on the outer being white it will show the insert layers and look funny. I would just wing it, but this is for someone else and I really want it to look nice. :)

Could you just use a peice of thin white cotton instead  of that layer of OBF?

i never do sewn in soakers... mine snap in that way i can take them apart to dry them... if you want you could just sew it in flap style... have the OBV inner then make your soaker seperate with OBV on top and sew only one end at the back side of your diaper so that it stays.. KWIM
