Yeah...I know I am normally a quick poster/replier and boaster on what I've made for the week.  But...not this week.  I've been trying to stay away from cafemom in hopes to be more productive at home.  It turns out that I was WAY less productive.  (although my kitchen looks really good.)  I really need you girls to motivate me to sew a ton for a Mom2Mom sale coming up at the end of April...and for the Happy Mums congo stocking on April 1st.  In addition to that, I still have 6 diaper  to sew for Finley (my baby), 6 newborn diapers to sew for a friend, 8 pockets for an order, 15 for another order, 3 newborn diapers for an order, my swap in this group, and then I need to start on newborn diapers for another friend.  Sheesh!  I really shouldn't have taken a vacation last week!!!  I really want to have 50 prepared for the Mom2Mom sale coming up on april 24th.  Fortunately, I only have a deadline on one of my orders...the 8 need to be finished by next week.  So...there it is...I'm going to be Christy!  I need to sew 90 by April 23!!!!  Yikes!  That's only 5 1/2 weeks!!!  About 18/week....let's make the goal 20.  sheesh!!!  Here I go!!!

Oh my goodness! Take it in steps. Maybe you could do the NB in 4 days (cut pin sew snap) then your pockets in 4 days (cut pin sew snap)

Decide on how many you HAVE to have done and do it in 4 day increments of each kind of diaper...  Even go a step further and separate the cuts out into groups of thread color so you're not constantly changing that to save time.

Oh and when I say sew I mean sew your layers then all your elastic then T&T them all.

Did that help or just make it seem like more work?

BTW  if you take weekends "off" you only HAVE to do 5 diapers a day. Thats not really that bad, if you stick to a plan like I suggested you may have more than 90 by your own deadline.

you can do it, I know you can!!

good

LOL  Well I have some to do but nearly that many!

MY to-do list for the next 2 weeks :  swap dipe & toy (I have a new idea Yay!), custom size pattern for a IRL friend & once it fits perfectly some pockets, half a dozen pockets for Taegan - I'm going to try a 2 step sm/md, & samples of assorted styles to show at a couple new baby boutiques locally.

BTW, while it's fresh in my mind -- the OS pocket is working much better on Taegan! She is just over 11 pounds now and it seems to fit pretty well. Even contains the EBF blow-ups!

Yay!  Thanks, mamas!  Would love to have an action shot, Rik-E!  And Alexmom07...that is my plan.  I will cut and pin 20 out on Mondays, Tuesdays do the preliminary sewing of the inside and trim, Wednesdays do snaps, Thursdays do elastic, turn and topstitch and Fridays do wing snaps or catch up.  I was doing it diaper by diaper, but that just took too long.

Tonight I pinned out 5 and a pair of pants that have been sitting for Finley for about 6 months now...finally sewed them up except for hemming them...cause I don't know his inseam any more!  I sewed the insides of 2 of them and because of the different styles, I have 3 to do snaps on and 2 more next to my sewing machine for touch tape.  Since I am so behind, I plan on doing a little more cutting tonight, but being in bed by 2.  Yikes...baby is crying...so I guess I'm done for the night.  That's how it goes!  Croup sucks!
