I hope this hasn't been asked a million times, but I was wondering if anyone could explain the difference to me between microfleece and regular fleece?
Also, I am under the impression that microfleece makes a good inner layer because it wicks moisture away from the baby's bum, but that fleece is good for the outer layer because it is water resistant. Is all this correct?
Microfleece is thinner than regular fleece. Whether fleece will make a good outer depends on thickness - if it's very thin, like microfleece, it will wick moisture outward. If it's thick, it will make a good water barrier.
Antipill is still thinner than blizzard. I've used it as an inner and it was okay, but there were some leaking problems.
Any poly fleece will repel moisture, so the idea is to use that to advantage. Thinner (like microfleece) will let the pee go through easily and keep it away. Thicker fleece will create a barrier and keep it from going out of the diaper. That's all that is really to it.
