Which needle do I use?

I remember a while back there was a post about which needle to use for which fabric, etc, but I can't seem to find it now (of course!). I am wondering which needle is best for PUL, fleece, knits, cotton wovens, flannel, terry, denim, thick layers, etc. Also, what size needle is best? If you know, or if you remember where that post is and can give me a link to it, that would be most appreciated! Thanks!

There's enough information about needles there to make your head spin =)

Use a ball point for knits and PUL so it won't cut the fibers. Generally wovens can handle a universal needle just fine. For very thick layers/bottomweight fabric you'd want a heavier needle to prevent it breaking.

ETA: I've been looking through the needle posts and have no idea which you're referring to. Remember any more of it?

I couldn't find it either. I think it may have been an off-shoot conversation in a reply to a post about something else, which is why I can't find it. Thanks for the link!
