Help!!!!!!!!!! Leaking issues!! Updated

I made these diapers, pul outside anti-pill fleece inside, and inserts made of flannel outside and bath towel inside. They're leaking and driving me crazy. One pee and it's all over me. I don't know what's wrong or how to fix it. I washed and dried the diapers twice on high to help seal the holes. Other diapers that I've made like this have worked fine, so what's wrong with these. Any ideas? I need help, my dd doesn't have many diapers that will fit her right now. Thanks.

Sorry that I haven't responded sooner. I do appreciate all the advice so far. What I've tried doing was making smaller diapers seeing if that was the issue, but there was still leaking, even when I changed tread, pul, and fleece. When I tested the mediums to see if they were repelling, by using a peri (sp) bottle and sprayed water into the diaper, it beaded up. So I'm guessing it's a repelling issue. I've washed/dried a few of them three times and there's been no real change. Do I need to wash/dry them more, or are they a lost cause? I did the same thing with the inserts and they absorbed fine. This has been driving me crazy and keeping me up at night, I really don't know what I'm doing wrong.  Thanks for all the help so far, I really want to figure this out. Thanks.

What size/type needle did you use? Are there gaps around her legs?

The needle is ball point 90/13. No gaps in the legs, I checked that first. I'm wondering if the diaper is still a little to big and there's a gap between her and the diaper? Does that make since? Thanks.

Nope everything is the same. I thinking/hoping they're too big, I'm going to make some smalls and see if they work.

Can you easily hold two fingers between her and her fluff?

1 mom liked this

New bath towel or used one? It may need to be stripped if it's been used.

Are the other diapers still working fine?
Test the fleece by dripping water to see how fast it wicks. If your other dipes are working fine maybe these just need to be washed a couple more times - sometimes you have to wash fleece a few times before it wicks properly.
If your other diapers are not working fine still it could be that she's going too fast for the fleece to wick.

I had the same problem and same inserts. It was compression leaks. I put 2-3 layer insert of either micro fleece or terry stretchy terry cloth. I love my CDs again.

Are you using fabric softener in your wash routine for your regular clothes? Fleece grabs that stuff like crazy even if its just a residue in the dryer...
