leg elastic help piog

Ignore the dirty marks....me and my tea had a fight last night and it won Haha. Anyways I made this pocket diaper using the babyville pattern I can NOT get one of the leg elastics to work right! Can anyone see why.. is it the top stitching to far from the elastic? I have no frekin clue. Anyone have any tips on leg elastic? Not for selling..just making for Adrian.

I didn't sew it down. I encased it.

I always zig zag because you can accidentally catch the elastic when you encase it. That's probably what happened.
