OT - I finished the mei tai I was making

Posted by   + Show Post

I love it. It's not perfect but it will work. It's for my SIL. She just had her baby a couple days ago. It seems really big but I don't know anything about mei tais. I think it came out pretty good and I can't wait to give it to her. I hope she makes my ds's party on Saturday just so I can give it to her. I don't know if she will be up for it though. I'd love to meet the newest niece though.

Looks good. I struggled with the straps. They were kind of wonky.

Quoting Blaiden:

I made one out of that tut, also!! I love it. I don't have good pictures of it, but here's one from the day I made it (before I clipped the extra thread and stuff)

The hood was inside. lol.

That's my next project. Either gauze or osnaburg. I'm getting at least 8 yards (it will shrink) and I'd rather have too much and have to cut some off than not have enough :/

Quoting mjimaging:

I want a gauze wrap too! I want to dye them too. How do you determine length? I have a moby and I enjoyed that. I just want a non-stretchy and a cooler gauze.
