I bought some waffle cloth (100% cotton) last week from Joann's. I was going to make it into unpaper towels, but it is just too heavy to work well for that. It is a bugger to cut straight too! Anyway, the scrap I had laying off to the side after I cut it to straighten it, got grabbed to mop up my spilled coffee and boy, I was surprised how absorbent it is.
Have any of you used it in diaper making? I'm debating about having it for an inner layer in the diaper inserts. I am for sure going to make some kitchen wipe rags with this cut I bought, but I may buy more in the future if it is a good absorbent natural layer for inserts.
Oh, and I did get my first set of unpaper towels as well as an ironing mat made this week, so Christmas projects are now complete.
