I made one up real quick, out of fleece because that's what I'm wanting to do right now. It turned out great. My only issue is when I top stitched around the leg elastic I feel like I lost quite a bit of stretch. Do you stretch it as you top stitch?

When you wash it your elastic should draw back up and shrink even a little bit. And it is cute!

When sewing stretchy fabrics I always increase the stitch length and stretch the fabric out. The stitches will settle closer together when the fabric is relaxed and not impede its ability to stretch.

i only tack down the ends. so the elastic has full stretch.
