Casing elastic on a serged diaper

Does this look right? What I did was serge the whole thing (leaving part of the front open. And then stitched the line that is the side of the casing and then fed elastic through it and tacked down the ends... Is that the right way to do it? Or am I making it too hard?

Looks right and sounds right to me. I usually just tack the elastic down first and then at the end do the actual casings.
