Serger skipping stitches

My serger is making me a bit angry.  It's very new and it seems when I go around my rounded tabs, it doesn't like my pulling it or something bc it skips the top loop and doesn't "catch" on the furthest left thread that is guided by the needle if that makes sense.  Like I only use colored thread in the 3rd one so I can get color on the top.  That colored thread is skipping and not "attaching" all the way to the left on some stitches around that curve.  Anything I can do?

tension

change needles?

I'm using jersey stretch needles so they are supposed to be for knit.  IDK what to do.  It's pretty frustrating.

If you are sewing knits, I find that increasing the tension on the third and fourth threads makes a huge difference!

Fixed it.  It just needed new needles!  OOPS!  Must have been that microfiber insert I tried to serge and it got stuck LOL!
