To call or not to call......

Let me just start off by saying that I feel like a horrible wife.  The last time my hubby and I have done anything was when we got pregnant.  The first few weeks I was afraid of miscarriage......I know, I know there is really no correlation between the two (or so they say online).  Then from 6 weeks to 13 weeks i was sick as a dog.  A good day was vomitting only twice.  So of course nothing was going on during that time.  Then once I started feeling better, I was beyond tired.......could not keep my eyes open past 6 pm.  Not really good for wanting to do anything.  Last night I was finally up to it and he was soooooo happy, it was actually really cute =)  Then i went to the bathroom afterwards and there was some spotting going on.  I was like oh that can happen, no big deal, it will be gone by the morning.  I woke up this morning and I am still slightly spotting.  It's only when i wipe and there's no need for a pad.  I'm just wondering if I should call my dr or not.  I have been fine the whole preganacy and there has been no spotting.  The first time we do anything in 16 weeks (ouch that hurts to type it ) and we have spotting.  I'm also RH- and I don't know if that should be a concern or not.  I guess I'm just wondering how many others spot afterwards???  I get so worried about everything after our m/c last summer.    Thank you so much for any input =)

I don't spot after sex but from what I understand it's pretty normal.  Call your doc anyway to ease your mind.  Make sure mention that you're RH-, they may want to do the shot now.  Good luck!

Thank you so very much for taking the time to respond.....it really meant alot =)  I did call and they told me that it was perfectly normal.  They are not concerned about me being RH- since it is just very, very light spotting and it happened afterwards.  I know that this may have been a silly concern for some, but I was so very nervous when I saw the blood.

No problem!  I had a miscarriage with my last pregnancy and have just finally started to relax about this baby.  I would be freaking out too!

It's probably nothing but anytime you feel concern you can call your Dr. If you are concerned it will only casue you stress which you don't need so go ahead and call. Thats why they get paid the big bucks, to be there for you when you need them.

Happens to me sometimes, it's always really unnerving.  As long as it's not accompanied with cramping or anything, it's usually normal.  We have sex like old ppl now, lol!  We didn't forever after we found out we were preggo, those first three months are the worst!  I'm glad you called the doc, best of luck to you, :)

I would call to be safe, it's good to keep doc informed so if anything should happen later they can look back to this as a clue. Also, when I bled I had to get a shot of Rhogam because I'm rh-. The doc at the hospital said that if there's bleeding you have to get the shot. Oh, and you're not a horrible wife, I was the same way...if you're sick and tired, then you're sick and tired. You can't help it and it's not enjoyable for them if it's not enjoyable for you.
