Does your baby still use a paci? If so when will you take it away?

This is really up to you and if it is becoming a problem.  My 1st daughter used one and I was getting up 2-4 times to put it back in her mouth throughout the night sop at 8-9 months I took it away.  Tough fo  few nights but onlky a few ngiths and then she was paci free.  My 7 mth old now never took to one.  She did a little up to 2-3 months but she actually got angry when trying to give it too her so I gave up and said well one less thing to worry about taking away later.  Although I wish she would take one since she was sooo colic and still is not the best  self soother.   Good luck.  It really isup to you andif you feel your baby will do fine without it. However the older they get the harder it is to do.  When they areover a year old they tend to remember it and ask fro it, now they will forget it exists.

Chloe doesn't have much interest in a paci. She used one very briefly, but she never really needed it.

Nope. He did for a few months, but he found his thumb (thank goodness!) and he uses it instead. The paci is gone now. My other son used a paci for 10 months, then I slowly took it away as he became more active. He stopped using it and then found his thumb. My daughter used it for 4 months, then she stopped completely, and no thumb. Parents definitely make a bigger deal out of it. Just get rid of it, or only use it at sleep time.
