How do you know if you need one? What do they do? How to get one for a local group?

Admins are your organizers and promoters. You can have an admin that runs chat, keeps track of birthdays, greets new members, visits the profile of members who haven't visited in awhile, uses the "promote your group" option, makes new posts, finds new quizzes games or activities, runs a game forum, and/or replies to posts to keep your group active:) Also for a local group, they can be a huge asset to helping you organize playdates...and keep track of local functions, deals & more!

Admins are really wonderful members who also feel passionate about the group, and genuinely want to help it succeed! Yes, activity certainly plays a part in deciding to bring an admin on, and you could also want an Admin so that there's someone else in the group who's interested in talking about the mechanics of keeping the group active, games, playdates, whatever else you have going on.
