Hi Ladies:  Thank you for the honor of being mom of  the week; My name is Vicky and I am mom to a wonderful 8 year old named Nicole.  I am married 12 years to DH, Tom, and live in New York City.  Ask me anything you'd like.

Question #1....What is your favorite holiday and why?  What is your fondest memory about this holiday?

My favorite holiday is and always has been Christmas.   I love the lights, the sounds, and the smells of Christmas.  

I cannot say that I have one fond memory of this holiday, there are many as I just love it.

Congratulations! Now questions. Have you always lived in NYC? do you like it? Apartment or house? I don't think about houses there, but maybe I'm just ignorant, lol. I would love to know more about Central Park. Do you ever go to the theatre?

I was born in Montreal, Canada, & moved to NYC with the folks and my sister; we were actually sponsored by my grandparents.  I became a citizen in 1989, and yes, have lived in NYC most of my life.

I live in a cooperative, it is a tenement with 36 families.  no house to speak of; just too expensive I guess.  And a lot of maintenance.

What would you like to know about Central Park?  It is large, and sports a lot of activities these days.

I do not frequent the theater as often as I'd like, but I did see the play white Christmas last night, which was amazing.

I also work in the theatre district.

I used to live in NYC.  I lived on 76th near Central Park West and then I moved up near the Cloisters.  Then I got married and left the country.  

Questions:  What do you like best about living in NYC?  What is the worst thing about living in NYC?  What is your favorite time of year?  What is your favorite TV show?  What is your favorite book?

The best thing about NYC is that it is open 24 hours a day!  No matter what you want, you will find it.  The worst thing are the tourists.  They drive me bonkers, especially since I work in the Times Square area.

My fave time of year is summertime; not the smells of NYC, but just the fact that we have a/c in the trains, buses & no coats!  My fave TV show is Flash Forward, right now.  Fave book or books are the Harry Potter series.

My favorite Christmas Carole is Silver Bells.  My favorite version of a Christmas Carol (just in case I am reading this wrong) is the George C Scott version.
