Was doing some research for my mother, and thought I would share this link.  As an American living in Germany, I know the benefits of Universal Health Care.. What are your thoughts?

I think the people are a little skeptical of this new Health Care Plan of the presidents because he hasn't explained a lot of things about it.  He says this plan won't raise taxes--I just don't think that's possible. Another thing-it seems like they're trying to pass it so quickly--if they would take a month or two and really explain things, it would be better.  I would be for Universal Health Care as long as it doesn't bankrupt us--we are already TRILLIONS of dollars in debt--a debt that I hate to pass on to my children & grandchildren.  Another thing is too, our government hasn't done the best of jobs with other things they've taken over--ex. our postal service for one. I just think the whole thing needs to be explained to the people better--and explained truthfully.

Agree things need to and should be explained. We pay 10 every quarter to the doctor. If u need a referral to the eye doctor or what ever. Your doctor gives you one, you pick what specialist you wish to see..

Further government in healthcare is a scary idea to me. We HAVE given it a try. It's called Medicare/Medicaid. It's costs are spiraling out of control. I really don't want to go there, personally.

There would be no kick backs to our Congressmen/Senators and no big bucks for the medical administrators.  If our Politicians had to pay $700 a month and another $200 per family member for their health care, we would have universal health care.  No, they get free health care in the best hospitals.  Have you ever looked up the perks your congressmen and senators receive via the tax payers money?  Check it out, it will make you sick.

I was thinking we should all get the same health care plan that our Congressman & Senators get.  Yeh--like that's gonna happen.  I think they should have to pay for their health care too.  Our government has messed so many things up, I don't want to give them this to mess up too.  Don't know what the answer is.
