Hi everyone!  I'm Shan, mom to two little girls. 

Let's see, I'm not even sure where to start.  I've just recently become unemployed after being the breadwinner for my family for the past 10 years.  While we have some savings built up, and my husband is bringing in a small amount of money, ends are not going to meet for long. 
I was in my last job for several years, so I feel like I am almost brand new to the job hunt and the pressures that go along with.  I guess I'm looking for others that understand where I'm at!

I would start by updating your resume, updating (or creating) your Linkedin profile, looking for networking events, scheduling networking coffees/lunches with former collegues, setting up searches on one of the mega-sites, like indeed.com, and checking Craigslist every couple of days (many small businesses use Craigslist).
