Hey! Thanks so much for being here! I love homeschooling and I feel very blessed to be learning about educating classically, and I'm learning more about it all the time. Our family does Classical Conversations at home and we school year round.
Please introduce yourself and feel free to share why you love (or may grow to love) classical homeschooling.

Hi. I am Amber. I have a 6 y/o and a 1 y/o. My 6 y/o has been to PS so far but we are starting HS this summer! Hooray! We would probably be eclectic classical HSers. We like to pick and chose the material we feel appriopriate for our child. But we also love the trivium concept. We want to raise our kids to be able to think for themselves, which it seems as though not many people do anymore!

Yay! Thanks for joining! I'm looking forward to getting to know you! :)
Hi! I'm Cat.
I'll be 48 in August and have 4 kids, but will only be homeschooling the youngest, my only girl. My older two are teen sons..when I remarried their dad refused to let me homeschool them. My little boy from my present marriage is 5 1/2 and has Down Syndrome so he gets all his special ed and therapies etc from the school district. So far he is doing very well this way.
Sara, almost 4, is my only girl and I am putting together an eclectic blend of Waldorf, Charlotte Mason, and Christian Classical. A new group of Classical Conversations is opening in my area too and I am very excited as it will dovetail splendidly with my other materials.
Glad to meet you all and look forward to sharing the journey with you!
I have a personal profile here at CM too..this one is pretty much strictly about the twirly-whirly and homeschooling. My other ID is Bohemi-Mom.
I am also at
www.myspace.com/bohomomma. (personal profile).
My homeschooling site is www.myspace.com/aflowerfairygarden.
If you're at FaceBook, I'm Cat O'Donovan Carter.

Welcome Cat! I would be interested to know what Waldorf is all about. I've heard of it, but don't know anything about it. We just finished a year with Classical Conversations and loved it so would be happy to chat with you about it sometime! :)
Hi,
We have been classically homeschooling for six years now. I am influenced by TWTM and LCC (Latin Centered Curriculum). We school year round but more casually during summer months.

Hi, CCCsmom! Is LCC an actual curric published by someone, or is it a style of hs? :)
It is a book written by Andrew Campbell and publish by Memoria Press. It makes the distinction between neo-classical (TWTM) and classical education clearer and then he suggests how to acheive this type of education for your children. His motto is: multum non multa— not quantity, but quality.
Hi, I am Whitney and I have an almost six year old girl and a four month old son. We are starting homeschooling in August and are very excited!!!! I have been in public schools as a helper to children with behavioral issues and have not liked what I have seen and want to homeschool classicly with my children. It took a while to get dad on board, but now we are all set!
My name is Jennifer and I have a four year old and a two year old. We're just starting homeschooling and after doing TONS of research on the different styles of home-schooling I settled on classically because it best fits my approach and the way my mind works things out. I'm hoping it will work with my kids but I'm flexible so we'll see!
