  • My house has solid surface floors, I find constantly dropping a wet whatever on the floor and rub with my foot until it is too dirty seems to keep some of the the 'big' dirty up and then when I so mop, with Viniegar usually it's only slightly 'muddy'...  for the bathroom, have you tried a pumice stone? they have one on a handle that works pretty well..  Love yhe pledge cleaner, so much eassier than carrying around 3 or 4  diff. cans.

  • I have to have a list of things to do.  Playing music also helps motivate me.   I usually start in my kitchen and work my way through the house.  I can't seem to leave a section untill its completed.  I use Mr. Clean, Clorox hard surface cleaner for my Kitchen.  I do use Pledge items  but for houskeeping.  I have not used it at home yet never get that far to dusting, lol.  As for my bathroom I use Ajax or Soft Scrub with Bleach.  I am usually on my hands and knees disinfecting the bathroom.

  • Love the idea of listening to music while cleaning!  It really makes it a lot more fun, doesn't it?

  • I often clean by the job that I am doing.  I will take a bottle of Windex and paper towels and clean all the mirrors, windows, or glass surfaces that need cleaning through my house.  I then take a multi-surface cleaner and clean all the counter tops, appliances, and other hard surfaces in each room.  I clean all the toilet bowls at once.    I sweep all the hard floors and then mop them.  I then vacuum all the carpets.  I save dusting for last because sweeping and vacuuming can stir up a lot of dust.  I prefer the Pledge in the white can because I think it smells the best.  I also use dusters around some of the electronics and hard to reach areas.

I think sticking with one job at a time saves time just because you aren't switching back and forth between chores.  It doesn't seem like any one room is getting clean at first, but then all of a sudden you realize your whole house is clean all at once.

  • I'll usually send my son to his friend's house, crank up the tunes and start in the kitchen then work my way to the livingroom then the bathroom. I do the bedrooms on odd days I don't deep clean the rest. I have all cement like tiled floors except for the bedrooms. I HATE THEM! Does Pledge multi surface get rid of the scratches on floors? I use this Dollar store brand "A's Awesome cleaner($1.00 for the spray bottle and $3.00 for the litre). This stuff works pretty good with a scratchy pad. Then I go over all the bare floors with Mr. Clean with Febreeze. If it says,"Febreeze" or any thing with "Frebreee" I own it! Febreeze is my crack, lol

    Does Pledge make different scents?

  • How I clean:

Well, I am a super busy mom so I have to use lists. That is how I stay focused and organized. Usually I do chore by chore which includes all the rooms of the house. First I make all of the beds, then I take out all of the trash, followed by gathering laundry and starting laundry. Next I usually do the dishes, wipe counters and appliances, then remove clutter from the rest of the rooms. Next I dust if it is due (usually once a week). Next I shake the rugs or wash them (usually once a week), and then I sweep and mop the floors last. Somewhere in between, I clean and sanitize my bathroom (usually almost everyday). Once a week on different days, I add in dusting, mopping, cleaning appliances (esp. the fridge), washing bedding & rugs. I also like to set aside time to organize. Once a month I allow time to get bills ready to pay and I update apointment calendars, to do lists, menus, balance checkbook, update and review my budgets.
There's always lots to do in my home because I have five in the household and two of my children are disabled and so is my husband. I work full time; however, I may have to cut down to part time because my hours are being cut at work by my employer. I spring clean once a year. I do a light "spring cleaning" in the fall right around holidays to get ready for company. On top of working, I am also enrolled in online classes. I think I may have too much on my plate.
