How are you?

How is everyone doing?  We haven't had any new posts in awhile so I figured I'd see how everyone's doing.

We are doing OK.  We are getting into a routine.  But we found out that my husband is going to need a valve replacement in his heart.  I'm totally freaking out!  Do any of you know anyone that has had an aorta replacement?  Anyway his uncle had it done and is doing well.  It's really scary to think they have to stop my hubby's heart!  I can't handle the extra emotions right now!

Anyway how are you?

Oh wow mommy. Good luck with that. How soon does he have to have it done? I'll keep you all in my prayers. Someone at our church had it done, and he is doing fine. He was down for a long time, but he was in his late 60s, early 70s at the time of the surgery- so his body didn't bounce right back like someone half his age would.

We are doing well. Now that we got this sleeping thing down, everything is running rather well. Courtney is congested and it's make me really paranoid. I may take her into the doctor tomorrow if the Little Noses doesn't make a big difference. We can't suck anything out with the bulb, and the store close to my house didn't carry Little Noses. So DH had to drive into town (20 miles) to get some today. In 6 days they gained a net weight of 7 and 5 oz! I was real worried they weren't getting enough to eat, but apparantly they're thriving on mommy's milk! yay!

I am however, having a really rough time with my 2 year old. I thought he'd take this baby thing fine. He seems to like the babies, but he is sooo jealous and so mad at us! He has been throwing the most awful tantrums, full of kicking things and hitting, and talking back. (Things he didnt do in his normal 2 yr old tantrums). The other day after I got done feeding the babies, I put them down, and he came up and wanted held. And as I was holding him he said in the saddest voice, "Courtney gone. me now". It made me cry. I've been taking him on little trips to the store, just me and him, but he just isn't coping well. Anything involving the babies sends him into fits of tears and anger. It's breaking my heart.

I'm sure everything will go well. Be positive and don't let the fear get to you!

I'm glad the babies are doing well, so you need to be strong for them, no matter what. Mine will be 9 mos tomorrow and I can't believe it. I'm so grateful they are healthy and happy!

All the best!

OMG!  My prayers are with you and your husband.  I can't even begin to imagine how you are feeling right now.  Is it scheduled yet?

We are managing and taking it one day at a time.  At my 1st preg appt the dr found a mass on my thyroid.  By the time I got an appt with an endocrinologist I was too big to lay flat for a biopsy.  I finially had it done on Wednesday and am waiting for the results.  It had gotten so large that it was pressing on my throat and I was having a difficult time swallowing and talking.

The twins had some weight gain issues and din't gain much between 2-5weeks so we are trying to get their weight up.  I have been nursing them, pumping, then giving a bottle at each feeding.  They have been nursing much better and my supply has increased so I have stopped giving formula with what I pumped.  They go back on Wed afternoon so if they have gained since last week I can stop giving bottles.  They are still eating every 2hrs and I ca't let them sleep more than 4hrs without feeding them.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they gained more weight!

My 2 1/2 year old has been doing great with them.  I don't know what I would do if he wasn't.  The only problem that we are having with him is that he kept going after our dog.  We have 2 and he was only doing it to 1 of them.  My mom took the dog 2 weeks ago and things have improved.  He is coming back next weekend so we will see how Zach does with him.  He has a speech delay and is now receiving speech therapy 4x a week.  Someone comes to the house which adds to my stress of having to keep the house clean but he has started saying some words and making  different sounds.

My neighbor had to have this done and recovered quickly from it.  Sorry to hear he has to have this done.

My twins are going to be 11 months on the 22nd.  They are trying to walk and are talking some.  We are doing well.  My 5 year old is loving kindergarten and loves her sisters dearly.
