I made this for supper yesterday & I thought I'd share the recipe.
Chicken Noodle Soup
8 C water
1 ¾ # meaty chicken pieces
2 T. instant chicken bouillon granules
½ tsp salt
pepper to taste
2 C chopped carrots
2 C chopped celery
1 medium onion chopped
8 oz frozen noodles
In a Dutch oven, stir together water, chicken pieces, instant bouillon granules, S & P. Bring to a boil; reduce heat & simmer, covered, for 20-30 minutes or until chicken is done. Remove chicken from the broth. Set aside to cool slightly. Add carrots, celery & onion to the broth. Return to a boil. Add noodles, stirring to separate them. Reduce heat & simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Cut chicken into 1/2” pieces. Return chicken to the broth. Simmer for 5-10 minutes more or until the noodles are tender.
Enjoy~~
