Recipes with Buttermilk~anyone?

I bought a quart of buttermilk yesterday to make sugar cookies that only take a cup. Around here, it doesn't come any smaller than that.

Do any of you have any other Tried & True recipes that you use buttermilk in? I thought of getting the powdered mix in the baking isle to make buttermilk, but for some reason I like using the regular for my cookies.

Thanks in advance & hope everyone is having a great day!

oh, i got this one, buttermilk biscuits.. yum, yum, nothing better than fresh, hot buttermilk biscuits, with either honey butter ormilk gravy over them.... if i could possibly be hungry after todays feast, this would make me hungry!

 2 c Flour
1/8 ts Baking soda
2 tb Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1 c Plus 2 T. buttermilk
1 ts Shortening
1/2 c Oil

Sift flour, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl. Add shortening and
blend well. Add soda to buttermilk, then blend into flour mixture.

Place dough on generously floured surface and sprinkle with additional
flour. Do not overwork dough. Roll out 1/4 inch thick and cut with 2 inch
biscuit cutter( can also use a glass dipped in flour to cut out). Dip biscuits in oil to cover all sides and place
immediately on oiled baking sheet with all biscuits touching. Bake at 500F
8-10 minutes or until nicely browned.

i believe i originally got this one from knotts berry farm, but i dont dip them in oil. my butt wouldnt be able to take it, i  just spray baking sheet with butter flavor pam and add biscuits. if you want a more crusty biscuit without dipping them in oil, just make sure they dont touch, that way all sides get a little crispy while the centers stay soft.

ok, they officially made me hungry again!
