Holiday Makeup

I told you guys how I go about doing a "smokey eye" a few weeks ago. Here's the recap:

1. Line both your bottom and top lid with dark brown (or black) liner. Smudge away; on the top lid, smudge upward.

2. Spread the lighter shade from your brow bone to the crease in your eyelid.

3. Fill the space between your crease and your eyeliner with the darker shade.

4. Smudge and blend. Then smudge and blend some more.

5. Apply mascara with a heavy hand. I put on at least three coats, usually five. Sometimes six.

6. Keep your blush and lips lighter and more neutral; we're not trying to look like a side show attractio, here.

7. Add another coat of mascara. Seriously.

Now the holidays are here! There are dinners and parties and holiday festivities! Do I do anything different with my makeup for December? OH YES I DO.

I usually use browns for my every day makeup and ramp it up for the smokey eye. Once the holidays come, it's a whole new ball game. Blues! Greens! Purples!

And, of course, sparkles.

Sparkles aren't just for vampires. I promise. Do your makeup, then do some more, then thrown on some sparkles. Let the holidays shine! And sparkle. It's what they are made for.

Do you have any holiday makeup tips?

  • I like to flip it up. I usually pay more.attention to my eyes (they are my best feature) but I will occasional leave the eyes looking neutral and Glam up my lips instead (second best).
