SAHM and wearing heels everyday......

Hey guys, today  my husband told me that he liked me better when I was dressing up and wearing heels all the time ;(  Now, I am now a sahm and really can't see why I should be wearing heels in the house!  I mean even dressing up or putting on makeup when I know I am not going anywhere is a hurdle for me and now he wants me to be in heels.  Though after he said that I was watching Sex and the City 2 and noticed that in all the shots the ladies are well dressed and wearing heels.  Should I change the way I look when I am home all day in the off chance that he comes home early?  What do you think?  If you are a sahm do you wear heels at home?

was he serious?  I get dressed everyday, even when I'm staying at home, but not heels everyday.  I just feel good when I'm dressed and have make up, but that's me.  Have you ever requested him to do something about the way he looks and he didn't follow through?  Maybe you guys can playfully compromise.

I think what he is saying ,you are changing from the girl he married. Don't get upset, you aren't by yourself. Too,too many times, women think,"oh,I'm married now,I dont have to wear make-up now,I can wear jeans and sweatshirts daily". This is not so,you owe it to yourself,to keep yourself looking good, you owe it to your marriages. Now,wearing heels, while cleaning & cooking is kind of hard,I don't know how the housewives of the past did it ,like Joan Cleaver, etc. Wear your heels for dinner,as you are fixing the plates. Who knows, what may "happen"latter. I wish you nothing, but happiness. This is coming from a person, that loved dressing up for myself,as well as for my "Beloved Husband". Since,he passed,I really haven't felted like dressing up everyday. I would do anything in the world to have my DH admired me,as I walk pass him. God bless.

I am also a SAHM and I will get dressed in jeans and a cute top, fix my hair and put on a little makeup in case someone stops by or i have to run to the store. Then I walk around barefoot until right before my hubby gets home. Then I throw on a cute pair of heels or wedges and walk around in front of him in them long enough for him to think I'm cute. Then I'm barefoot again in time to put the kids to bed

Hmm I don't know, I have the opposite problem.  My husband thinks its silly to put on makeup and dress up if I am not going anywhere.  I feel better if I do though.  Maybe compromise and say you will get dressed up a few days a week, that is what I did.

Um, yeah, I so wouldn't wear heels if I am in the house all day.  I usually don't wear shoes at all if I'm just in the house.

I dress up! I love fashion and always have, being a mom hasn't changed that, however I've always been a flats kind of girl, even before being a mom, lol. I don't think you have to wear heals to look nice.

I only wear them when I go out of the house and want to look cute :)
