What age for mani/pedi's

My daughter is 8 she will be 9 in August. She likes going to the salon is this an ok age to start monthly visits for her for pedicures and manicures?

I don't know about monthly visits. Maybe special occasions. Unless you have the money and feel it wont spoil her. I just have to laugh at the girls that are like 15 and get highlights, tans, nails, etc..all the time. Just seems like these girls are being set up to grow up too fast. That being said, I totally plan on doing the nails thing with my daughter when she's older. : ) just not all the time.

I would do them at home...even as an adult. Its not a matter of money, Its fun and doesnt carry the risk of getting a nasty infection at the salon. There are tons of youtube tuts

I have thought about this as my daughter is 5 going on 15...I've decided to wait until Middle school.

My three year old comes with me every month when I get my pedi and they usually give her one for free. So I think it's ok.

I guess whenever you feel comfortable? My friend brought her 3 yr old all the time.

My daughter is 8 going on what seems like 35, married with children...lol .... I take her with me when I get my nails done ... I cut, file, and them and clean them at home and then they paint them and put a design on them. She had never gotten a pedi though... I think I may take her before we go on vacation but will do it the same way as her nails. They charge me either $3.00 or $5.00 to do her nails ....

IMHO that's tooooo high maintenance for her age. That's like living a celebrity life, and I wouldn't want my DD to think it's okay to live like that, at an age so young. Not until she's at least minimum age....14-15 years old. I think that's more realistic for me.

my daughter is turning 7 in july... she has gotten more mani/pedis than i have ever... she goes with my MIL... she loves it..
