"To all our UDers: We have decided to sell Urban Decay products in China. Because of China’s policies, this has upset some of our loyal fans who are also animal rights activists. For complete information, please visit www.urbandecay.com/chinainfo. We are listening to all of your feedback and questions, and will try to address every single one of you. We do want to address one FAQ: No, Urban Decay will not test on animals in China. However, the Chinese government may conduct a test using our products before they can be sold there. We absolutely realize that for many of you, it makes no difference who is doing the testing. But, animal rights are still very much important to Urban Decay, and our decision was a thoughtful one. Changes are already happening in China, and we will give our all to help advocate alternative methods."

Honestly, since they even retracted it I probably will double think buying their products.

I'm a huge fan. No longer though. That is just so lame. They are just losing customers with this.

Yeah, I LOVE their glitter liners! I am so never buying it again. I mean, why would I WANT to deal with a company who comes outright saying they will be selling products in China and they said they cannot control what the government does with their products? IF you were truly a cruelty free company and some products vegan you would not practice unethically.

And they seriously think THEY will convince China to stop animal testing. They are delusional. I could not care less if they are sticking by their cruelty free policy........what difference will it make now? The product will be tainted now with unethical practices. It's all about greed. They HAVE to raise profits every quarter, I realize that but, where is the stopping point? You can't continue to advance without huge negative consequences. This is going to be all over peta soon.......more so than with Avon and Mary Kay since UD markets to a younger crowd. I'm so mad. Thank you for sharing.

I'll still buy their products. I'm all for cruelty free but there are worst things Going on in china than animal testing.

like poor wages and womens rights? that's enough to stop me from buying ANY product from them.

I'm very specific with brands I buy anyways. China is heavily avoided in this home.

There are 2 products of theirs I can't replace with any other brand. A primer and lipgloss. 2 things I'm kinda picky about.

I can replace their products with experiments. I love smashbox primer and i don't really use a lipgloss i'm stuck to.
