Major Eyebrow FAIL (PHOTO)

Posted by Lindsay Ferrier on November 19, 2012

Eyebrow

One thing I try to schedule before shooting a season of I'll Take That Dare (particularly a season that involves one of the Real Housewives) is an eyebrow appointment.

My eyebrows are pretty sparse, so I can generally handle them on my own. However, I go to a "master brow aesthetician" when I'm going to be on camera and get the Hollywood treatment, because ordinarily she makes my brows look amazing.

This time, though? Well, you just have to see it to believe it. Click through to see the photo I took immediately following my appointment.

During the appointment, my aesthetician was really taking her time, so I felt very special. I lay back in the chair imagining that my brows were going to look flawless.

When she sat me back up and handed me a mirror, I can only imagine the look on my face was something like this:

Eyebrows

To say I was shocked is an understatement!

It didn't help matters that the woman who was waiting to get her brows done after me literally gulped when she saw me sit up.

I tried my best to smile and say thank you, and I avoided all mirrors as I headed out the door. I had to run a few errands after the appointment and I was terrified that I'd be the laughing stock of Nashville!

When I got to the parking lot of our local mall, I took a picture for posterity, then began trying to rub off all the brow makeup. Luckily, it came right off, and underneath my brows were perfectly, flawlessly arched.

THE DAY WAS SAVED.

In fairness, these bold brows are appearing right now on runways around the world. My aesthetician was probably just trying to make me look fashionable. However, I'm not sure this look translates well from runway to real life.

The lesson learned from this experience is that it's probably a good idea in the future for me to discuss what I want with my aesthetician before letting her go to town on my eyebrows!

What do you think? And what would you have done if you were in the same situation?

Um...why did she say thank you and leave?

I would have politely told the lady that it wasn't working for me, could we "lighten" and thin it down to match my face more?  Hey, they'll happily fix a mistake, it's better to work wiht the customer than get terrible reviews!

I would not say thanks for a job well done if not happy... if she wanted natural brows, that should be communicated first and if they still look like that, immediately ask to have them corrected, assuming that's only makeup... hopefully she didnt wax off all her brows and just draw them on.

Am I crazy, it doesn't look too awful in that pic but I agree on not thanking and leaving unsatisfied

Not flattering at all. I would've made the person fix them.

They "could have" Been okay if they were lightened at the start of the brow and not so squared...I fill in my eyebrows EVERY DAY so I'm like Ms Eyebrow 2012 * .

This!! It's hard to hide a bad eyebrow job and shouldn't have to. I'd have asked to fix them and to shape them complimentary to my face and not what's hot right now.

Yikes.  I would have made her fix them to my liking.
