Quoting laylolilah:

Will anything, any type of product restore elasticity in skin on the body? In the case of weight loss, can any sort of cream make the skin on my upper arms and thighs tighter?

Hi Laylolilah-

Sorry to say - I don't know anything that will really restore elasticity for the longterm... except eating well and excercise. Raw/organic/virgin coconut oil is amazing for repairing skin. But I haven't found any creams that really work... if I had, I'd be using them!

Quoting jerzeetomato:

Hi Jessica.  I'm 49 and have what I have always been told were "allergy shiners".  You know, those big dark circles under my eyes I've lived with since I was young.  The doctors always said it was due to having thin skin and having constant bouts of sneezing and coughing due to allergies and respiratory problems.  I notice that my teenage daughter (who also has the same health condition) is getting them too.

Any advice on how to minimize/prevent them or make them less noticable?  My girl is so beautiful, I'd love to be able to make them less of a problem for her - and me, too!

Hi Jerzeetomato- this sounds so frustrating. I can tell you tricks to cover under eye circles, like a peachy concealer. Or using a rich eye cream at night. But I'm more concerned about the allergies. It sounds like a really frustrating and annoying condition. I would recommend seeing a clinical herbalist. They might have some good ideas for you and your daughter to try. Also removing all products (cleaning/personal care/laundry) that have any fragrance, might help the inflamation. Good luck!

Quoting jmetz4:

I have a bad habit of picking my fingers. Like the skin. How do you suggest breaking that habit?

Hi Jmetz4

I'd say make sure your cuticles are clipped- so there is no skin to pick at. Buy yourself a pretty new ring and treat yourself to manicures- using 3-free polish (RGB, Aquarella, Priti make good ones), which are: Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde and Toluene. Maybe if you take better care of your hands- you will respect them more and break the habit.

Good luck!

Quoting Apr1l:

Have u had experience with using biotin for hair, or any of your clients? Does it work?

Hi Apr1l-

I've never taken it but I do know some folks who do. You can also try eating more of these foods, as they have a high content of biotin: Swiss chard, liver, leafy green vegetables, and peanuts. Which will help strengthen hair and nails. I always try and eat the food containing the nutirents before I use a supplement. Good luck!

Quoting givenshl:

What is the best lip balm to keep lips moisturized but give a nice hint of color?

Hi Givenshl-

My favorite lip balm with color at the moment are these, and they come in a great pink and a cherry stain. I literally gave them out to everyone I know at Christmas time and everyone loved them! I also like to swipe the color on my cheeks for a little blush! You can use the code "cafemom" at check out for 15% off your order on my store.

Good luck!
