belly button ring in?

I have a belly button piercing but since i found out i am pregnant, i've taken it out and put a retainer in. When i purchased it, i thought it was ganna be like a flexible silicon kind but its actually plastic. i am 22 weeks pregnant now and i've been thinking about taking it out because i am afraid of it closing up. I've had it for a little over a year already. and it looks just fine and doesnt irritate me at all. What should I do?

I let mine close and re pierced it. I don't recommend that bc they couldnt do it in the exact place and its not centered well IMO

I took mine out cause I didn't know about the special rings and mine grew up.
I'd say if its not bothering you keep it in.

I took mine out because I didn't want the hole to stretch n not b able to put one back in. A reg gauge fits in perfectly and doesn't come through the hole.

I have had mine done twice, it actually took better the 2nd time because of the scar from the 1st time. I would take it out, as you get bigger it is going to stretch and try to push it out.

Thanks everyone. Thankfully they HAVE pregnancy belly rings for mothers who HAVE them and still wish to keep them. I really didn't wanna get it redone cz it hurt like a biiittchhh lol. But I ordered one & I should be able to take my plastic retainer out ! 😬
