Get enough vitamin D (the safe way!)

For each minute that you spend in peak summer sunlight, your body can produce about 1,000 IU of vitamin D. By comparison, you'd have to drink 10 eight-ounce glasses of milk to get that much. In short, a little UV exposure can go a long way, says Min-Wei Christine Lee, MD, a board-certified dermatologist and director of the East Bay Laser and Skin Care Center, in Walnut Creek, Calif.

It seems like the NW is getting a lot more snow this year.

Agreed!  Sun exposure also improves my mood.  I tend to feel depressed and drab in the winter because of the lack of sun.  I need to move somewhere warmer. ;)

Are you taking Vitamin D? I started taking it a month ago and I feel sooo much better emotionally and physically! I take 2,000 - 4,000 IU's a day.
