             Be wary of razor cuts

Some stylists use a razor to thin out hair or create a piece-y look, but the tool slices the tips of your hair on an angle, which can cause split ends to appear sooner than they would if your stylist uses scissors. If you like the textured look, but want to keep your ends smooth for as long as possible, ask your stylist to notch or point-cut the ends.

Thank you I had a razor cut 2 years ago. I hated it. It works for some but not me!

True AND False.

Razor cuts do NOT create split ends IF the razor is kept sharp but like scissors if the blade is dull split ends will occur. Most stylists either sharpen their blades often OR use fresh blades if a real straight edge razor is used.

My hair style always uses scissors but she will use the razors if someone ask for it.
